Sri Lanka : North Central Mini Pilgrimage

SRI LANKA is a paradise that is often overlooked by many travelers. Once known as Ceylon during the British colonial era, this island is a place filled with wonders and ancient heritage of more than 3,000 years. Sri Lanka alone has eight World Heritage Sites. Thanks to Hybrid Travel and Sri Lankan Airlines I had the opportunity to do a quick survey on the mini pilgrimage tour. Images in this post were shot with Sony RX100M3(indicated), Nikon D750 and Nikon D4. This travel journal was published in Leisure Travel Issue 33 (Oct 2015).

Tokyo : Narita Stopover

If there's ever a need for you to transit in Narita with a layover of over 5 hours, you might want to visit the Naritasan Shinshoji Shrine founded in 940. Located near Narita International Airport, it's a train ride away. I had a 10 hours transit on my way to a wedding assignment in Los Angeles last autumn, so I paid a visit this shrine.

Tokyo : 2014 Halloween

It is finally Halloween! And the place to be on Halloween day is Shibuya, Tokyo. I didn't plan to dress up at all for the party and only going to focus on capturing how Halloween is celebrated in Tokyo. But just before the sunset, I changed my mind. Well, more like I was persuaded by my housemate Yuki to dress up. And I end up spending ¥ 9,800 on my costume. LOL. Be prepared for a really long post, this post has about 220 photos and 10 short video clips. Enjoy!

Taiwan : Dihua CNY Street & Night Market

Taipei's Dishua street is the place you would want to visit if you are there during spring, just before the Chinese New Year's celebration. It has everything you need for your CNY's food menu. I have been so busy traveling the past months I didn't have any time to write anything on this unfortunately. But I guess I'll just let the images speaks for themselves.

Taiwan : Tainan and Central Mountain Range

After a night in Taichung I traveled 186km south to Tainan city.  Tainan is the oldest city in Taiwan and was once the capital of Taiwan during the imperial times. In Tainan you rarely see any tall buildings and most of it's population other than high school students do not speak English. However the old folks here can converse in Japanese. Tainan is the home for the famous Ten Drums Percussion Group that performed at the opening of 2002 Sydney Olympic as well as the opening of the 2002 Korea World Cup. I'll be visiting their campus in here. After Tainan city I'll travel another 30km inland towards the Central mountain range to a family run leisure farm called Dakeng Leisure Farm.
