Tokyo Girls Collection Fashion(TGC) show is a one-day fashion event held in Tokyo. It is considered the most famous fashion event held in Japan. TGC features what is currently trendy on the streets of Japan. The list of participating brands changes like the trends itself. TGC 2013 returning brands to list some are like The Shel’tter, Avail, Liz Lisa, Bonica Dot, and Lands of Eden. Besides fashions brands, TGC also features the season’s music line up such as Ai, Kana Nishino, M-Flo, Namie Amuro Generations from Exile Tribe and a lot more. To the Japanese, this is a must go fashion event.
Girls are all excited to go in and visit all the cosmetic and accessories booth as well as the fashion shows.
It was held at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium which is located in Harajuku. Where else can it be more suitable for this?
Right outside of Yoyogi National Gymnasium there was a BIG photo wall for anyone who wants to have photos of themselves taken as a souvenir. And it is really BIG.

The entire Yoyogi indoor stadium was packed! This shot was taken right in front of the AV and lighting console(right). And their AV console is HUGE!
The AV and lighting console area. It is at least 20 meters long and consists of 5 tiers. The photographers’ area is located at tier 4 and 5 which is right behind the AV and lighting console.

One thing that’s really different and interesting about Japanese fashion show is how their models do the show. I’m sure as most of you already can guess it, they do cute stuff!! Kawaii!!
What’s really interesting and stunning is that most of the girls who walks the runway at TGC are not professional fashion models but rather the muses of the fashion brands.

Promoting Tokyo to be the host for the Olympic Games in 2020. Japanese Olympic medalist Hiromi Miyake (weight lifting), Ryo Tateishi(swimmer), Ai Aoki (former Olympic synchronized simmer) were on stage to promote the Olympic Games 2020.
The runway is really long, my estimate is it’s at least 30 meters long.
They have more photo walls after you enter the main entrance.
